This is my latest addition to my home brewing kit, this is Kegland's Fermzilla 27L Gen 2 pressure fermenting vessel. I found a good deal on this and so far I'm very please with it. Its currently sitting in my beer fridge (oh actually the beer fridge is my latest) with an almost ready Pilsner, which needs a bit longer to fully clear but as I've already had a couple of test glasses and it is tasting very nice.
The benefits of this fermentation vessel are that you can ferment at higher temperatures and of course you get to see the process with the clear PET plastic bubble. Also as your fermenting under pressure your beer is already carbonated and another neat trick with this vessel is you can server directly from it once the beer is ready you don't have to decant it to another keg or bottles unless you want to.

You will need some additional items that didn't come with the kit I bought to make the pressure fermenting process easy, firstly is a set of ball lock valve/post fittings that allow you to connect other items to your keg as well as provide a means to add additional CO2, these I bought in a kit which came with a float and tube so you avoid the yeast and sediment when decanting the beer.

Also you will need a Blowtie kit which consists which consists of a Spunding valve and a Pressure Gauge so you can set what pressure you want to remain in the vessel and release any overpressure CO2 that is created during fermentation.
I use a sports bottle with some sanitiser in it for the CO2 to vent through to reduce the fermenting smell and if there was ever liquid overflow it would capture that, hopefully! you can see it in the video below.

So here is a short video of the Fermzilla in action on its first use with a new Pilsner.
I would love to hear from you if you have are using one of these and have any tip and tricks for using it or anything I should really avoid, or if your interested in getting one or a similar one as there are a few variations from different suppliers available please post on our Forum
