Got Gas!

I've been reliant on SodaStream bottles which are handy but they don't last too long and cost around £15-18 to get new ones from local stores like Argos or online from SodaStream themselves once you add in postage costs. I'm still going to keep one on hand but today I the Hobby Brew Food grade CO2 I've been waiting for has finally come into stock. Picked it up yesterday from a Local Supplier, Thomas Graham in Egremont.

  • If you've read my post on My Pressure Barrels, you will know I've been converting them so that I can use the same gas supply distributed around using my network of gas pipes and localised inline regulators so I can set different pressures for each of them. Will do a blog on these as I find them very useful.

The cost of these larger bottles is mostly tied up in the Deposit of £70 and comes to a total of £126 Incl VAT, you do get 6Kg of gas so plenty if your using Corny Kegs.

The supplier has decided to keep these in stock as they have had a few requests for them from local home brewers. There are other suppliers in the area which I will add to a new page I'm going to create that shows the locations of any resources I locate around the county, keep an eye out for that one.
